Clare Atzema

Senior Core Scientist (Full Status) ICES Central Cardiovascular Research Program

Biography

Clare Atzema has been affiliated with ICES since 2005 and is currently a senior scientist at ICES. She is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto, and a staff emergency physician at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto. Dr. Atzema received her BA from Simon Fraser University, her medical degree from the University of British Columbia, and her Royal College certification in emergency medicine from the University of Toronto. She did a research fellowship at UCLA and acquired her Master's Degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Toronto. She is funded by a New Investigator Award from the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
