Description: The aim of this project is to describe the morbidity in survivors of bloodstream infections up to 1 year from blood culture collection when compared to patients with negative blood cultures in terms of new cognitive impairment leading to a new diagnosis of dementia or delirium, loss of function leading to long-term care home placement, new psychiatric symptoms requiring new start of antidepressants or antipsychotics, continued decline in renal function requiring dialysis initiation, new major cardiovascular event, recurrence of bloodstream infection, emergency department visits, hospital readmissions and all-cause mortality.
