COVID-19 in Immigrants, Refugees and Other Newcomers in Ontario: Characteristics of Those Tested and Those Confirmed Positive, as of June 13, 2020

This report focuses on patterns of testing and test results for immigrants and refugees in Ontario from the initial phases of COVID-19 testing through to June 13, 2020. Data are available for all residents eligible for the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) apart from those living in long-term care facilities. Characteristics measured include age group, sex, immigration status, country/world region of birth, Canadian language fluency, employment as healthcare worker, neighbourhood income, number of persons per dwelling and public health unit of residence.
