Remembering “the father of evidence-based medicine,” Dr. David Sackett

Canada lost a pioneer in evidence-based medicine with the passing of David Lawrence Sackett on May 13, 2015. Dr. Sackett founded the first department of clinical epidemiology in Canada at McMaster University and the Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine. Last year, Dr. Sackett gave a talk at ICES Rounds on “Tips for Clinician Scientists”.
