The ICES Public Advisory Council (PAC) partnered with the ICES Applied Health Research Question (AHRQ) program to explore patterns in Ontario’s population-level health data. PAC members wanted to find out how people use mental health services based on where they live, their income and other social factors.
It’s rare for members of the public to play a lead role in analyses with large datasets, but PAC guidance added value at every stage of this project.
Learn more about other public and community engagement work underway at ICES and resources to support engagement in research and analysis.
