Summary
Kingston General Hospital is in the process of redesigning the only tertiary care emergency department in the South East LHIN. The hospital is interested in understanding the pattern of emergency department visits over time. The broad objective is to understand the factors that contribute to increasing numbers of ED visits beyond population growth and inform the projections on utilization and capacity.
