A family physician and epidemiologist, Dr. Kendall leads an internationally recognized research program focused on strengthening primary care and advancing health equity through place-based, community-engaged approaches. As Principal Investigator of the Ottawa Neighbourhood Study and co-founder of CityStudio Ottawa, her research is driving measurable improvements in population health, strengthening local systems of care, and shaping institutional and policy change through evidence-based, community-informed action.
As Associate Dean of Social Accountability with the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Kendall advances institutional initiatives that align medical education and research with regional health priorities. She provides substantive health-system leadership as Chair of the City of Ottawa’s Community Safety and Well-Being Plan Advisory Committee, a member of the Ottawa Ontario Health Team – Équipe Santé Ottawa Primary Care Network Leadership Committee, and an advisor to regional and national efforts to strengthen primary care system design.
