Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario Clinician Scientist Award
2009-2012: Awarded to Dr. Robert Fowler for "Prospective economic analysis in the prophylaxis for thromboembolism in critical care trial".
Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario Clinician Scientist Award
2009-2012: Awarded to Dr. David Gladstone for "Improving the detection and treatment of atrial fibrillation following transient ischemic attack and stroke".
Nursing Career Research Award
2009-2012: Awarded to Dr. Linda McGillis Hall in the Nursing Senior Career Award Recipient category. The Nursing Secretariat at the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) supports outstanding researchers in the province who are in the various stages of their careers, to carry out independent research in nursing services in Ontario. The overall goal of the program is to facilitate the development of nursing health systems research personnel in Ontario.
Kenneth R. Wilson Award
2009: Awarded to Dr. Matthew Stanbrook for best editorial for "Asbestos mortality: a Canadian export" published in CMAJ.
Research Mentorship Award
2009: Awarded to Dr. Rick Glazier by the Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of Toronto
Canadian Operational Research Society Practice Prize
2009: Awarded by the Canadian Operational Research Society (CORS) to Dr. Michael Carter for "Modelling the Future of the Canadian Cardiac Surgery Workforce Using Systems Dynamics"
The purpose of the prize is to recognize outstanding operational research (O.R.) practice and to focus attention on O.R. and its applications by practitioners from Canada by attracting quality papers to the CORS National Conference.
Emmett Hall Memorial Lectureship
2009: Dr. Raisa Deber recipient. One of Canada’s most prestigious lectureships, the Emmett Hall Memorial Lectureship commemorates the father of Canadian medicare with an annual address at the Canadian Association for Health Services and Policy Research (CAHSPR) Conference.
Sponsored by the Hall Foundation, the lecturer is nominated on the basis of outstanding contributions to the health ideals articulated by Justice Hall: equity, fairness, justice and efficiency.
Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Career Scientist Award
2009: Awarded to Dr. Sisira Sarma for "Understanding the Impact of Practice Settings on Physician Behaviour and Patient Outcomes".
CIHR New Investigator Award
2009 – 2014: CIHR New Investigator Award for "Indigenous Knowledge Network for Infant, Child, and Family Health" awarded to Dr. Janet Smylie.
