Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Social Accountability

2024: Awarded to Dr. Daniel Myran. The research goal is to examine the health consequences of substance use including an in-depth examination of the health impact of alcohol and drug policy in Canada.

Louise Lemieux-Charles Health System Leadership Award

2023: Awarded to Dr. Paul Kurdyak by the University of Toronto’s Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation. The award recognizes leadership in bringing measurable positive change, using innovative methods for change and motivating others to improve the health system.

Early Career Researcher of the Year – Public Health and Epidemiology

2023: Awarded to Dr. Daniel Myran by the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine.

Alexander Leighton Award in Psychiatric Epidemiology

2022: Presented to Dr. Paul Kurdyak by the Canadian Academy of Psychiatric Epidemiology. The purpose of the award is to recognize a person or group that has contributed significantly to the advancement of Canadian psychiatric epidemiology through innovative studies.

Dr. Jack V. Tu Memorial Award for Excellence

2021: Awarded to Dr. Lucy Barker by the Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto.

Pat Martens Memorial Student Prize in Maternal and Child Health Research

2021: Awarded to Lucy Barker by the Canadian Association of Health Services and Policy Research (CAHSPR)

Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarships Doctoral Award

2020: Awarded to Lucy Barker by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

International Collaboration on Repairs Discoveries (ICORD) Visiting Lecturer Award

2019: Awarded to Dr. James Crispo by ICORD.
