Toronto, ON, July 23, 2025 — ICES today announced three new board members who will each help guide the future of the organization and support ICES’ vision of improved health and healthcare for everyone.
“We’re thrilled to add the expertise of three new Directors to our Board of Directors,” said Helen Angus, Chair of the ICES Board. “We have been diligent in building a diverse board that includes experts in healthcare, research, community engagement, business, academics and other sectors, who ensure strong governance and provide valued counsel on all aspects of ICES strategy and direction.”
The new board members begin their terms with ICES effective June 25th, 2025. The three new members are:
- Dr. David Buckeridge, a Professor in the School of Population and Global Health at McGill University in Montreal, where he directs the Surveillance Lab, an interdisciplinary group that develops, implements, and evaluates machine learning methods for population health surveillance.
- Ariane Siegel, General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer of OntarioMD, recognized internationally for her achievements in privacy and security. She was recently awarded the 2023 Women in IT Award for Canada’s Security Leader of the Year.
- Vu Ngo, founder of C3LABS.AI, a strategic consultancy guiding Fortune 100 companies and public institutions through digital transformation. He is the founder and principal of community-based initiatives supporting emerging racialized and LGBTQIA+ artists while activating communities through art.
“The Board is comprised of volunteer members who play a critical role at ICES with respect to governance and oversight,” said Dr. Michael Schull, CEO of ICES. “On behalf of ICES management and staff, I want to welcome our new members and express our gratitude to Bella Martin, Pierre Leclerc, and Dr. Mark Daley, who have concluded their terms as valued board members.”
