ICES scientist Tara Gomes awarded for research on prescription opioids
ICES scientist Tara Gomes received the 2017 Institute of Health Services and Policy Research (IHSPR) Article of the Year Award for the study “Sensitivity and specificity of administrative mortality data for identifying prescription opioid-related deaths” published in CMAJ. The award was presented to lead author Gomes and the study's first author Emilie Gladstone at the 2017 Canadian Association for Health Services and Policy Research conference in Toronto on May 26.
IHSPR's Article of the Year Award recognizes research published in a peer-reviewed journal that has contributed to the advancement of health services and policy research in Canada.
