  • Kingston Health Sciences Centre Exceptional Healer Award

    2018: Awarded to Dr. Maria Velez. The award honours health professionals who are innovative in their approaches to patient care and who consistently demonstrate patient and family-centred care in their practice by being approachable, empathetic, collaborative and respectful. Read more.

  • Heart & Stroke Richard Lewar Center of Excellence BI-LILLY Cardiometabolic Young Investigator Award

    2018: Awarded to Dr. Charles de Mestral for the project "Reducing Amputation from Diabetes and Peripheral Arterial Disease through Regional Foot Care and Amputation Prevention Pathways."

  • Crohns and Colitis Canada Rising Star Award

    2018: Awarded to Dr. Sanjay Murthy. Recipients of the award are innovative and productive leaders who are advancing Crohn's and colitis research in Canada.

  • American Academy of Pediatrics Special Achievement Award

    2018: Ontario pediatrician of the year awarded to Dr. Jonathon Maguire for his exemplary leadership and service in studying novel approaches to children's health issues.

    2018: Awarded to Dr. Lauren Lapointe-Shaw as the most promising student in Clinical Epidemiology & Health Care Research concentration at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation.

    2018: Dr. Sonia Grandi had one of the 20 most downloaded articles in the last two years in the Journal of Paediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology, "Hypertensive disorders in pregnancy and the risk of incident cardiovascular disease".
