Karen Okrainec

Adjunct Scientist ICES Central Primary Care & Health Systems Research Program

Biography

Karen Okrainec is an adjunct scientist at ICES, a staff physician in the Division of General Internal Medicine at University Health Network, and an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She completed post-graduate training in epidemiology and biostatistics and recently completed a CIHR funded post-doctoral fellowship at ICES. Her research focuses on studying the impact of health disparities among individuals with chronic diseases on health outcomes and health-care utilization.
