Adjunct Scientist (Full Status) ICES Queen's Mental Health & Addictions Research Program

Biography

Dr. Mahar is a researcher in both the Mental Health and Addictions research program and the Cancer research program at ICES. Her research aims to improve the health of Canadians particularly vulnerable to health inequity. Her program focuses on cancer care disparities, intersections between cancer and mental health/addictions, and the mental health of Canadian Armed Forces veterans and military families. Dr. Mahar holds funding from CIHR, True Patriot Love, and other funding agencies to complete ICES studies in these areas. She is currently recruiting students and postdocs to complete projects related to the mental health of veterans and military famiiles and underserved oncology populations.
