Biography

Peter Cram is the director of the Division of General Internal Medicine at Mt. Sinai/UHN Hospitals and a professor of internal medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Cram, a native of Connecticut, completed his medical training at Wake Forest University and the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Dr. Cram joined the faculty at the University of Iowa in 2002, eventually rising to the rank of professor of medicine and serving as the director of the Division of General Internal Medicine from 2010-2013. Dr. Cram’s research focuses on:

  1. quality and cost in the areas of orthopaedic surgery and osteoporosis;
  2. patient safety with a specific focus on insuring that test results are consistently communicated to patients.
