This report provides a comprehensive look at the variation in stroke care and patient outcomes by stroke care sectors, including Emergency Department, Acute Inpatient, Inpatient Rehabilitation and Home Care Services. The results are based on a study of close to 60,000 Ontario stroke patients between 2003/04 and 2007/08. Information about acute inpatient care and outcomes for paediatric stroke patients is also presented.
