Biography

Dr. Lusine Abrahamyan is a Scientist at the Toronto General Hospital Research Institute (University Health Network) and an Associate Professor in the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto. Her education background includes an MD from the Yerevan State University (Armenia), an MPH from the American University of Armenia and a PhD from the University of Toronto.

Dr. Abrahamyan’s research interests are in comparative effectiveness research and health technology assessment using clinical trials, observational studies, systematic reviews, surveys, and economic evaluation studies. She is the Co-Lead of the Canadian Research Network for Adult Congenital Heart Disease interventions (CRN-ACHDi). Her research group at the Toronto General Hospital (University Health Network) conducts studies to answer high priority research questions in ACHDi, embracing innovative methods and new technological solutions and providing excellent research and training opportunities for students and fellows. She is also interested and has experience in health services research in heart failure and other cardiovascular diseases, obstructive sleep apnea, COPD and rare diseases.
