- Briefly review existing literature on preoperative communication, and present a plan for a new systematic review on this topic
- Briefly review preoperative advance care planning, and present a plan for a qualitative study designed to explore patient perspectives on the value of preoperative advance care planning prior to high risk surgery
- Present a plan to identify target procedures for preoperative advance care planning using ICES data and examine the relationships between patient characteristics, surgery type, and palliative care consultation in the perioperative period for high risk procedures
