Interactive map of opioid-related deaths

Share

The rate of opioid-related deaths increased by 242% in Ontario between 1991 and 2010 according to a new study from ICES and St. Michael’s Hospital. The research team, under the direction of ICES scientist Tara Gomes, also found that among adults aged 25 to 34, one in eight deaths was related to opioid use.

An interactive map prepared in conjunction with the study illustrates the annual rate of opioid-related deaths for each county in Ontario over a five-year period.
