Senior Adjunct Scientist (Full Status) ICES Central Cancer Research Program

Biography

Dr. Paul Nathan is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist and Clinician Investigator at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto where he directs the Cancer Survivor Program. His research program focuses on long-term outcomes in survivors of childhood, adolescent and young adult cancer. This includes a studies investigating specific long-term toxicities of cancer therapy such as heart disease, second cancers and mental health disorders, as well on the utilization of healthcare resources by adults survivors of childhood and adolescent/young adult cancers. He is a member of the steering committees of several North American research groups focused on cancer outcomes. His research is funded by CIHR, the Canadian Cancer Society, OICR and the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario.
