Mental health and addictions (MHA)-related outpatient visits prior to and during the pandemic
Summary
The COVID-19 pandemic has had unintended impacts on population health that go beyond those caused by the virus directly. As such, mental health and substance use is a priority area for surveillance/assessment for many PHUs in Ontario. It is important to establish an understanding of the overall state of mental health and substance use and apply a health equity lens to this assessment to identify inequities.
