About ICES North
ICES North launched in 2018 as a strategic partnership between Health Sciences North Research Institute (HSNRI), Laurentian University, and NOSM University, to integrate their strategic priorities in health research.
ICES North is a fully virtual site, providing research services to all Northern Ontario. Our mandate is to:
- Advance research initiatives that address the needs and priorities of rural, remote, and northern residents.
- Build researcher and scientist capacity in the North.
- Develop unique skillsets and expertise for addressing Northern Ontario-centric research questions.
