Summary
This study is interested in ascertaining a specific indicator detailing the use of mechanical ventilation and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) to assist with the monitoring of COVID-19 patients in the ICU. This indicator will provide a detailed breakdown of the specific type of intervention that was applied to a patient. The data collected will be used to inform decision makers such as the ICU drug task force on the long- and short-term demand for drugs and to help predict potential drug shortages at the hospital level.
