Senior Adjunct Scientist (Full Status) ICES Central Chronic Disease & Pharmacotherapy Research Program

Biography

Dr. Booth is an adjunct scientist, who joined ICES in 2000. She holds an appointment as associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto, and is a practicing endocrinologist at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. In addition to her research, Dr. Booth is actively involved in a number of committees and organizations, and was a member of the expert panel that developed the 2003 Canadian Diabetes Association Clinical Practice Guidelines.

Dr. Booth completed her undergraduate degree in Life Sciences at Queen's University and a Masters of Science degree in Pharmacology prior to graduating from medical school at the University of Toronto in 1993. Following her residency in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, she earned a Masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Healthcare Research.
