Research Question/Objectives: What is the epidemiologic burden of RSV infections in children and adolescents ≤17 years old?
Objectives:
- Describe the frequency of infant hospitalizations due to RSV in Ontario by year and stratified by RSV seasonality, age, wGA at birth, birthweight, sex, geographic region, income quintile, and risk status
- Describe in-hospital, all-cause mortality among infant hospitalizations with RSV in Ontario by year and stratified by RSV seasonality, age, wGA at birth, birthweight, sex, geographic region, income quintile, and risk status
- Describe the length of hospital stay for infants hospitalized with RSV in Ontario by year and stratified by RSV seasonality, age, wGA at birth, birthweight, sex, geographic region, income quintile, and risk status
- Describe length of stay in intensive care unit (ICU) and/or alternate level of care (ALC) for infants hospitalized with RSV in Ontario by year and stratified by RSV seasonality, age, wGA at birth, birthweight, sex, geographic region, income quintile, and risk status
- Describe complete hospitalization costs of infants hospitalized with RSV in Ontario by year and stratified by RSV seasonality, age, wGA at birth, birthweight, sex, geographic region, income quintile, risk status, and ICU utilization
