Pierre Leclerc
Biography
After working as a labourer and heavy equipment operator, Pierre switched his life focus and became the supervisor for a program managing people released on bail.
From there, he was appointed a bilingual provincial prosecutor and then moved to managing a provincial support and custody enforcement program.
Subsequently, he was appointed a bilingual Justice of the Peace, a role he held for over 25 years.
While thoroughly enjoying his career path, Pierre’s penchant for acting got him involved as a standardized patient in the program run by the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. This stepping stone and a chance reading of a news article about ICES North prompted him to apply for and subsequently become a member of the inaugural ICES Public Advisory Council; a position he held until the end of his mandated term.
He retired in 2016 and remains active with his new passions, golf and curling.
