Biography

Dr. Luc Dubois, associate professor, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, joined the Division of Vascular Surgery in October 2013. Dr. Dubois received his MD from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University in 2005, followed by a general surgery residency and a vascular surgery fellowship also at Western.

While at Western, he received a Master of Clinical Epidemiology and was part of the Clinical Investigators Program. He also completed an endovascular fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic focusing on complex aortic interventions. Having received many research, Dr. Dubois’ research focus is on developing novel, patient-directed, outcome measures. He is also interested in studying patient expectations surrounding surgical therapy, patient-based decision making, population-based surgical outcomes, and promoting evidenced-based surgery. He was also a graduate of ICES Western Scholars Program in 2017.

He is currently cross-appointed with the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and teaches seminars and graduate level courses on clinical outcomes and statistical analysis; while carrying a large clinical practice in one of Canada’s busiest vascular surgery centres.
