Dr. Elnahas is an assistant professor at Western University in the Division of General Surgery. He received his undergraduate and medical school degrees at McMaster University, where he also completed his general surgery residency training. Dr. Elnahas became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2013. He then undertook fellowship training in advanced minimally invasive and bariatric surgery and completed a Masters of Science in clinical epidemiology and healthcare research at the University of Toronto. Dr. Elnahas has a clinical interest in minimally invasive bariatric, hernia and gastrointestinal tract surgery. He is a member of the big data/ICES research node at Western University and has research interests in health policy evaluation, surgical process efficiency and innovation.
