Alexandra King

Biography

Alexandra King is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada, with an MD from the University of Toronto. King is a Nipissing First Nations woman (Ontario) and she is the inaugural Cameco Chair in Indigenous Health and Wellness at the University of Saskatchewan and co-chair of the International Group on Indigenous Health Measurement’s working group on Indigenous wellness.

King is an internal medicine specialist with a focus on HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C (HCV) and HIV/HCV co-infections. She works with Indigenous communities and relevant stakeholders to understand the health and wellness needs of First Nations and Métis peoples in Saskatchewan and the structural changes that are needed for improved Indigenous health outcomes.
