ICES scientist Diane Lougheed awarded a King Charles III’s Coronation Medal
The Coronation Medal recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution in Canada. Congratulations to ICES senior adjunct scientist Dr. Diane Lougheed on being awarded a medal. She was nominated by the Canadian Lung Association. Dr. Lougheed played a major role in leading the development, evaluation and implementation of a standardized care map for the management of adults with acute asthma in emergency departments as part of the provincial asthma strategy.
Dr. Lougheed joined ICES as an adjunct scientist in 2009. She is also a staff respirologist at Kingston General Hospital (KGH) and Hotel Dieu Hospital (HDH), director of the KGH Asthma Program, and director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic at HDH.
