Prevalence of blood-borne viral infections (HIV, HBV, HCV) among people seeking fertility services in Ontario

Share

Summary

Due to the stigma associated with HIV and hepatitis as a result of the misplaced fear of cross-contamination between specimens, it is unknown whether blood-borne viral infection testing is cost effective. The research evidence gathered from this brief will be used to inform CFAS guidelines and set standards of screening and care for Canadian health care providers and patients involved in fertility treatment.
