Summary: In preparation to accommodate hospital capacity for the imminent second wave of COVID-19, the Southlake Regional Health Centre is exploring the potential benefits of a model that can predict ICU utilization 14 days in advance of admission. In order to better allocate resources and plan clinical programming, these data will be collected to develop a “trigger tool” that will ensure the availability of sufficient ICU beds and ventilators.
