Research Question\/Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n

Primary objective:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. To compare yearly HCRU and associated costs between 1 year prior to index date and yearly HCRU and associated costs up to 4 years following the index date among patients in Ontario with CD and UC that have initiated ustekinumab treatment through Janssen BIOADVANCE\u00ae.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Secondary objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. To describe patient demographic and clinical characteristics at index date or in 1 year before the index date among the study population described in the primary objective<\/li>\n
    2. To compare yearly HCRU and associated costs between 1 year prior to index date and yearly HCRU and associated costs up to 4 years following the index date among patients in Ontario with CD and UC that have initiated and continued ustekinumab treatment through Janssen BIOADVANCE\u00ae<\/li>\n
    3. To assess the association of persistence on ustekinumab at 12 months following the index date with the subsequent yearly HCRU and associated costs, if sample size is sufficient<\/li>\n
    4. To assess the association of previous biologic experience at the index date with the yearly HCRU and associated costs following the index date, if sample size is sufficient<\/li>\n
    5. To evaluate the yearly HCRU and associated costs incurred after the index date and during the treatment period prior to the pre-COVID-19 pandemic period, if sample size is sufficient<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Exploratory objectives \u2013 if feasible:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. To evaluate yearly HCRU and associated costs after ustekinumab treatment discontinuation in the sub-cohort of patients who discontinued ustekinumab during the study period.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
