His research interests are in the field of health economics, health policy and cost-effectiveness analysis. He was a recipient of a career scientist award from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for his work in the economics of primary care. He is a CIHR-funded researcher in the area of obesity and primary care. His research has appeared in a number of highly regarded peer-reviewed journals, including the <em>Journal of Health Economics<\/em>, <em>Health Economics<\/em>, <em>Health Policy<\/em>, and <em>Social Science and Medicine<\/em>.
