Dr. Swartz is a staff neurologist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, an associate professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, a clinician-scientist in the Hurvitz Brain Sciences Program of the Sunnybrook Research Institute and an adjunct scientist at the ICES. Of his 100+ peer-reviewed papers, approximately a third are as first or senior author. He leads several peer-reviewed projects, including the multi-centered Ontario Neurodegenerative Diseases Research Initiative (ONDRI). His research focuses on vascular cognitive impairment (VCI), stroke (young survivors, pregnancy) and dementia.
