Dr. Gupta received his MD from the University of Toronto, trained in pediatrics and pediatric hematology\/oncology at the Hospital for Sick Children, and then pursued a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Toronto. His main research interest lies in identifying and addressing health disparities among children with cancer. To do so, he uses health administrative and other population-based databases to study vulnerable pediatric oncology populations, such as adolescents and young adults (AYA) or children of low socioeconomic status.
