Dr. Earle is a health services researcher and medical oncologist specializing in gastrointestinal malignancies. He is director of the Health Services Research Program for Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) and the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR). Originally from Ottawa, Dr. Earle spent 10 years at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, where he was an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and an associate professor of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard School of Public Health before returning to Ontario in 2008. He was also the founding director of the Lance Armstrong Foundation Adult Survivorship Clinic at Dana-Farber. He is currently a professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. The Health Services Research Program is a joint effort between OICR and CCO to enhance Ontario’s capacity to study how the organization and delivery of its cancer services affects the quality and outcomes of care.
