Dr. Charles de Mestral is a graduate of the general surgery and vascular surgery training programs of the University of Toronto. During his general surgery residency, he completed a PhD in health services research and economic evaluation focusing on emergency surgical care.<\/p>\n
Dr. de Mestral conducts research on clinical effectiveness as well as the provision, quality and cost of surgical care.
