Dr. James A.G. Crispo is an assistant professor in the Human Sciences Division at NOSM University, and a postdoctoral research fellow in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia. He holds an Honours BSc Biochemistry and MSc Chemical Sciences from Laurentian University, and completed a PhD in Population Health at the University of Ottawa. James is the recipient of a prestigious Fulbright Canada Student Award (2014-2015) to the United States (University of Pennsylvania). Prior to completing his PhD, James worked at Health Canada in the areas of chemical emergency preparedness and response, and environmental health risk assessment.<\/p>\n
James previously led the University of Ottawa’s Pharmacovigilance Working Group and contributed to the establishment of a state-of-the-art computing environment at the university. He also co-directed an international collaboration in pharmacoepidemiology between the University of Ottawa and the Argentine Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation. James is well versed in analyses using large databases and is a certified SAS programmer. He has also received formal Cochrane training on the completion of high-quality systematic reviews and is leading the first Cochrane review on adverse drug reactions in Parkinson’s disease.<\/p>\n
