A family physician and epidemiologist, Dr. Kendall leads an internationally recognized research program focused on strengthening primary care and advancing health equity through place-based, community-engaged approaches. As Associate Dean of Social Accountability with the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Kendall advances institutional initiatives that align medical education and research with regional health priorities. Dr. Claire Kendall is an associate professor with the Department of Family Medicine and cross-appointed to the School of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Ottawa; senior investigator at the Bruyère Research Institute and clinicienne-chercheure, Institut du Savoir Montfort; and a practicing family physician with the Bruyère Family Health Team. She holds a Clinical Research Chair in Strengthening Primary Care for Integrated Health Equity (Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa, 2020-2025). She is an adjunct scientist at ICES, affiliate investigator in the Clinical Epidemiology Program at The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, and affiliate scientist at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael’s Hospital. Dr. Kendall is also associate dean of social accountability at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa.
