Hannah Wunsch, MD, MSc, is a staff physician in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and associate professor in the Department of Anesthesia and the Interdepartmental Division of Critical Care at the University of Toronto. She is also the associate director of critical care research at the University of Toronto and an associate editor of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine<\/em>.<\/p>\n

She received her undergraduate degree in biology from Harvard University, her MD from Washington University in St Louis, and a Master’s degree in epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. She completed a residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in critical care medicine at Columbia University. Dr Wunsch’s research focuses on the organization, and management of critical care services, with a particular focus on international comparisons of critical care, use of large databases to understand resource utilization, and long-term outcomes among critically ill patients.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
