ICES McMaster<\/a> scientist Dr. Mehran Anvari<\/a> has been appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada for his leadership in the field of telerobotic surgery. Dr. Anvari is a researcher in the Chronic Disease and Pharmacotherapy<\/a> research program at ICES. His research interests include surgery, patient safety, gastrointestinal disorders and outcomes research. Among his many affiliations, Dr. Anvari is the scientific director and CEO of the Centre for Surgical Invention and Innovation<\/a>.<\/p>\n
