ICES was awarded an <a href=\"\/announcements-and-events\/ices-receives-rbc-foundation-grant-to-strengthen-research-capacity-of-indigenous-communities\/\">initial &#x24;75,000 grant<\/a> in September 2021. The funds were used this past year to build on the success of the ICES Indigenous health data training program, which was launched in 2019 to promote an understanding of how ICES data can be used to answer health questions and support Indigenous participants in conveying research findings back to their communities.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#x2019;s RBC Foundation funding allowed ICES to create some additional content that provided a deeper dive into topics of interest, raised by participants. In addition, the funds were used to support the development of a platform for recorded training modules that will help make the training more accessible.
