The ICES community is deeply saddened by the news of the death of Dr. Murray Krahn on July 1. Dr. Krahn joined ICES as a scientist in 2006 in the Chronic Disease & Pharmacotherapy<\/a> research program.<\/p>\n

In addition, he was founding director of the Toronto Health Economics and Technology Assessment (THETA) Collaborative<\/a>. Dr. Krahn held a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Health Technology Assessment<\/a> and was a professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.<\/p>\n

His research interests included health technology assessment, decision support tools\/systems, health economics and outcomes research.<\/p>\n

Dr. Krahn will be missed by his friends and colleagues at ICES.<\/p>\n

A memorial service for Dr. Krahn will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 16 at Kingsway Baptist Church in Etobicoke. The service will also be streamed and recorded. The streaming link will be available 24 hours before the service on the Turner and Porter funeral home website.<\/p>\n
