ICES brings together the best and brightest scientific talent. Many of our scientists are internationally recognized in their fields and receive national and international awards and recognition for their important work.

  • TD Professorship in Critical Care Nursing Research

    2014 – 2019: Awarded to Dr. Louise Rose. The position allows a nurse researcher to focus on research that will improve clinical outcomes for critical care patients.

  • Cancer Quality Council of Ontario Quality Award Honorable Mention

    2014: Awarded to Dr. Simron Singh and team for "Multidisciplinary care in NETs tumor: A new model for a rare disease in Ontario."

  • Professional Development Fund

    2014: Awarded to Dr. Janice Tijssen by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

  • Early Career Award

    2014-2018: Awarded to Dr. Bridget Ryan as part of the Community-Based Primary Health Care Innovation Team, CIHR Signature Initiative for the project "Patient-Centred Innovations for Persons with Multimorbidity (PACE in MM)."

  • Randall Coates Epidemiology Prize

    2014: Awarded to Dr. Kevin Brown by the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. The prize is awarded to a MPH or PhD epidemiology current/ graduating student studying in the area of communicable diseases and demonstrates academic excellence.

  • Best New Investigator Poster Presentation Award

    2014: Awarded to Dr. Kednapa Thavorn by the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research.

  • Vancouver Island University Distinguished Alumni - Early Achievement Award

    2014: Awarded to Dr. Serene Kerpan for demonstrating outstanding achievement within 10 years of receiving a credential from Vancouver Island University.

  • Women's College Research Institute's Outstanding Paper Award (Trainee)

    2014: Awarded to Dr. Jacob Udell

  • John J. Conley, MD, Resident Research Award

    2014: Presented to Dr. Antoine Eskander by the Triological Society.

  • Toronto's 30 Best Doctors
