ICES scientist Moira Kapral recognized by the American Stroke Association

ICES senior scientist Moira Kapral is the recipient of the American Stroke Association’s 2022 Edgar J. Kenton III Lecture Award. The award recognizes lifetime contributions in the field of race-ethnic stroke disparities or related disciplines.

Dr. Kapral is a scientist in the ICES Cardiovascular Research Program. Her research interests include cardiovascular disorders, health services research and women's health. In addition to her work at ICES, she is a professor in the Department of Medicine and the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto (UofT) and director of the Division of General Internal Medicine also at UofT.
