The 2020/21–2022/23 strategic plan, a refresh of ICES’ previous three-year plan, maps out at a high level where ICES will focus its efforts to achieve maximum impact. The plan is the result of extensive consultation with ICES scientists and staff, our board of directors, scientific advisory committee and public advisory council, and key external stakeholders.
Highlights of the plan include:
- Revised mission and vision statements, and values newly stated as actions.
- A reaffirmation of ICES’ six success factors.
- A renewed focus on ICES’ research priorities in Indigenous health, policy evaluation, health system evaluation, data science and the social determinants of health.
