ICES research video: Substitutes for antipsychotics in persons with dementia

Antipsychotic medications pose a number of health risks for adults with dementia. Long-term care homes in Ontario have successfully reduced their use of these drugs over the past decade, but until now there has been little information about what happens after the antipsychotics are deprescribed.

PhD student Daniel Harris discusses his research at ICES and Dalla Lana School of Public Health, with funding thanks to a fellowship from the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
