ICES Privacy & Legal Office contributes to leading resource on Canadian health information

Share

The Privacy & Legal Office at ICES has made a valuable contribution to the textbook Canadian Health Information: A Practical Legal and Risk Management Guide. First published in 1984 and now in its fourth edition, Canadian Health Information addresses the legal issues that healthcare organizations face when using confidential health information, and offers guidance on the implementation of effective health information systems. ICES’ Privacy & Legal Office contributed a case study that describes how ICES protects privacy in the research and evaluation contexts.

At ICES, information is the foundation of everything we do. ICES relies on its ability to collect and use information that is subject to privacy laws and standards, and we are deeply committed to its protection. Congratulations to our Privacy & Legal Office on this important contribution.
