ICES affiliate scientist Adalsteinn Brown named dean of the Dalla Lana School of Public Health

Adalsteinn (Steini) Brown has been appointed dean of the Dalla Lana School of Public Health (DLSPH) at the University of Toronto for a five-year term beginning July 1.

Dr. Brown is a professor in the DLSPH and currently serves as its interim dean. In 2011, he became the school’s inaugural chair in public health policy. Dr. Brown has served as assistant deputy minister in the Health System Strategy Division of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and in the Science and Research Division of the Ministry of Research and Innovation. His research focus at ICES has included healthcare system performance and accountable care organizations.
